Rules for Submission

Due to the popular demand & overwhelming requests, the abstract submission deadline has extended! Please note that abstracts should be submitted prior to 20 February 2016 (Sat), after Chinese Lunar New Year holiday. DO NOT miss the last chance to submit your abstract!

If the abstract is confirmed to be accepted, it will NOT be included in the abstract book WITHOUT registration and payment. Submission by letter, fax, e-mail or CD/DVD will NOT be accepted at any time. Applicants must follow these guidelines:

  • File Format: MS word for Windows.
  • Language: English abstract for APKASS Session (Chinese abstract is accepted for IFOSMA session)
  • Paper Size: A4 (210mm X 297mm)
  • Fonts Format:
    Title Times New Roman font 14 and use bold-faced and capitalized font type for the title. The Title should be brief, clearly indicating the nature of the presentation. Please limit the length of your title to 15 words.
    Author and Affiliation Times New Roman font 10 and use bold-faced, full name of all authors should be listed without degrees and titles, and the presenting author should be underlined. Authors’ affiliations and contact information should be included.
    Body Times New Roman font 12 and single space. The body of the abstract is limited to 1000 words, excluding the title, author name and affiliation. It should include a) Background, b) Material, c) Method, d) Results, e) Discussion and f) Conclusion. 
    *Please note that Title, Author and Affiliation are also necessary in the abstract.

  • Allowed File Size: 2.0Mb
  • Tables, charts, photographs and any other information are not acceptable as part of the abstract.
  • Submit an abstract ONLY through Submission Online.
  • The presenting author will be required to register if the abstract is confirmed to be accepted.
  • If the authors need to submit a second abstract, authors must use a NEW form for EACH abstract submission.
  • If you would like to revise the details after submission, you may contact congress secretariat (apkass.congress@gmail.com) to make amendments. However, if you prefer to re-submit the same abstract via online system, please also inform the congress secretariat to remove the duplicated / mistaken submission.

Your abstract (excluding the title, author name and affiliation) is to be no longer than 1000 words. Format of the abstract: main text and references in 12 point Times New Roman font, single line spacing, left and right justified, with two spaces between sentences. Automatic hyphenation should be applied. Main text paragraphs should be formatted with spacing of 0 point before and after and with a single 12 point carriage space between them. Margins should be set at 2cm on all sides and the paper size to A4. It should include a) Background, b) Material, c) Method, d) Results, e) Discussion and f) Conclusion.
