The 2015 Summit of APKASS held on 8-9 May 2015 in the Howard Civil Service International House, Taipei, Taiwan got a remarkable achievement that there were more than 300 participants from over 25 countries attended. The Summit delivered 2 award lectures, 9 special lectures, 6 lunch seminars, 48 symposium lectures and over 140 abstracts presentations

2014 The 1st APKASS Congress, Nara, Japan

The 1st APKASS Congress was successfully held in Nara, Japan on 14-15 April 2014 at the Nara Prefectural New Public Hall. Under the presidency of Prof. Mitsuo Ochi, the congress was a great success with more than 400 participants from over 21 countries.

The theme of this 1st Congress of APKASS is, "Let's Maximize Asia-Pacific Vitality Starting from Japan." It offered excellent opportunities for participants to interact with orthopedic surgeons from all around the world.

We had the Gala Party at the Garden of the Nara Prefectural Hall after the exclusive tour to the Night Light-Up at Todaiji Temple. Both the tour and the party gave participants lots of fond memories and networking opportunities.

Highlight of the night was the presentation of “Takagi & Watanabe Award” to Prof. Konsei Shino and Prof. Kai-Ming Chan who both had tremendous contribution to the development of sports medicine and knee surgery internationally and regionally.
2012 – APOSSM Biennial Meeting, Jaipur, India

CASM 2012 is a combined meeting of 3 sister fraternities - IAS, Asia Arthroscopy Congress (AAC) and Asia Pacific Orthopedic &Sports Medicine (APOSSM). CASM 2012 has a theme of its own -Surgery, Simplified. Lectures, discussions and debates will centre around the idea of simplifying surgical techniques to standardize and better surgical outcomes. CASM 2012 will also focus on sports medicine topics like tendinopathies, musculoskeletal imaging, pre-hab and re-hab. Specialists will share their experience and provide insights into newer developments in this specialty. Apart from the medical and scientific program, this momentous trip will also includeenlightening cultural events such as elephant polo, Rajasthani dances, and heritage walks in Jaipur to list a few.

2010 – APOSSM Biennial Meeting, Okinawa, Japan

7th APOSSM Biennial Meeting & 2nd JOSKAS Annual Meeting has been held with great success in Okinawa Japan on 2-4 July 2010 at the Okinawa Convention Centre.Under the superb leadership of Prof. KM Chan – Hong Kong (President of APOSSM 2008-2010), Prof. Eiji Itoi – Japan (Congress President), Dr Hirotaka Sano – Japan (Scientific Program Chairman) & Dr. Patrick Yung – Hong Kong (Scientific Program Chairman), this combined congress was well received with a record breaking registration of over 1800 participants. The comprehensive scientific program showcased the greatest line up of renowned expertise from the Asia-Pacific Region.There were 50 guest speakers from APOSSM delivering over 50 guests' lectures in symposia and case discussions, along with more than 100 free papers (in the form of podium and E-poster presentations) in the area of foot & ankle, hip, knee, basic science, sportsscience and shoulder. Best Paper and Poster Awards were presented to outstanding delegates.

2008 – APOSSM Biennial Meeting, Hong Kong

The 5thWorld Congress of Sports Trama and 6th Asia-Pacific Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine Meeting washeld in Hong Kong and was a great success with over 1000 participants. The scientific program included symposia, live-surgical demonstrations, free-paper in podium and e-poster formats. An extensive exhibition and a series of industry courses were also held to introduce the new technology and application in all fields of sport medicine.
